P1 Grades are available: How to write a Revision Memo

At this point, you should have received your final grade for Project #1. However, you might not be done with Project #1. Now is the time to determine how you feel about your grade and whether you are comfortable with the grade you received or if you wish to make the necessary changes to increase your grade.

I have assembled a Revision Memo. You must complete this form for whichever project that you plan to revise. On it you must explain in your own words the feedback you received on Draft 3 and what changes you plan to make. A revision could make up half of the points remaining on that draft, but only if you make substantial revision. Don't expect to earn all the points for the placement of one comma.

If you lost points because you submitted something late, those points cannot be made up.

Revision Memos should be emailed to me before 11:59 pm on FRIDAY, MARCH 8. I will review your memo and respond with any additional comments AND a new deadline for when you should have your 4th draft posted to your Wix website. If you have scheduling conflicts or want to select your own deadline, make note of it in the Revision Memo and I will consider it. At the end of the semester ALL of your drafts should be posted to your Wix page, so if you revise, you will have 4 drafts instead of 3.

This week we have conferences. If you wish to discuss your P1 grade, I am happy to, but remember that cuts into your time receiving feedback on P2. If you have not signed up for a P2 conference, you should do so NOW and know that spaces are limited.

This week's Twitter Assignment:

Listen to an episode from the Song Exploder podcast and tweet the things you learned about all the elements of composing an audio composition. We have spent a lot of time analyzing the elements necessary to form informative and narrative text-based or audio/visual genres. This podcast will provide insight on audio composition, both informative podcasts as well as informative, narrative, or persuasive song composition. Whichever song you select, ask yourself, is the song a narrative, informative or persuasive genre?

Don't Forget:

We are meeting this week to discuss Project #2 draft. Not uploading a draft or missing the call results in 2 absences, zero feedback, and zero participation points.
